LCOS has also been producing and supplying LC 76 vehicles with ballistic protection for many years. At present, the company has handed over a larger number of modified Toyota Land Cruiser J79 Pickup cars in a four-door version to a foreign customer. "The interest in these cars is generally due to the fact that the Toyota Land Cruiser of various model lines is certainly the most widespread vehicle, especially in Africa, the Middle East, but also in Asia or Australia," says Ing. Štěpán Černý, SVOS sales director. "This is also related to extensive after-sales and service services in these areas. Another aspect is the characteristics of the car itself, which is really very suitable for difficult terrain. And from our point of view, the fact that the robust chassis of the Toyota Land Cruiser can best cope with the installed armor is also important. ”
When modifying Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles, the company benefits from its thirty years of experience with armoured vehicles, of which five thousand have already been produced at the SVOS plant in Přelouč. And although the company does not provide specific figures, it can be said that the Toyota Land Cruiser dominates. Thanks to them, SVOS Přelouč is one of the few certified suppliers of armoured vehicles for the UN and other international organizations.
