Presentations and demos of SVOS and SAAB / August 29 - 31, 2022 / Sweden
The participation of representatives of 15 armies from all over the world in a total number of more than 150 people. On behalf of SVOS, five people from SVOS Přelouč participated, led by the CEO of SVOS.
The installation of the SAAB systems took place after several Czech companies were approached, and through the SAAB tendering process, cooperation and installation was entrusted to only one company, namely SVOS, spol s.r.o., which designed and implemented the required modifications on the vehicles of its chassis concept and superstructures specially prepared according to the requirements in less than eight months. and supplies for installing the MSHORAD system on the MARS 4x4 Hard Top vehicle and the Giraffe 1X 3D control system on the MARS 4x4 Double Cabine vehicle.
Thanks to bilateral and very close cooperation lasting more than 1.5 years between SAAB and SVOS, it was possible to jointly install, step-by-step testing up to a public presentation and practical demonstrations using SAAB systems and MARS 4x4 vehicles.
Demonstrations of dynamic shooting were fired from a distance of several kilometers from the MARS 4x4 Hard Top vehicle from the MSHORAD system and from the Giraffe 1X 3D control system on the MARS 4x4 Double Cabine vehicle at static and flying targets. During the dynamic demonstrations, five targets were fired and 100% of all five targets were hit. All practical demonstrations of shooting were recorded on video recordings and, together with the technical evaluation, were presented on the final day during the presentation and overall evaluation.
It was stated by the owners and representatives of SAAB that a big thank you to all SAAB employees involved in this next step to use these systems and also to SVOS, who made it possible at their own expense to implement and loan two MARS 4x4 vehicles to install their MSHORAD and Giraffe 1X 3D system and thereby allowing SAAB to implement the installation of their systems on mobile, wheeled equipment.
According to the representatives of SAAB, these two companies, i.e. SAAB and SVOS, have taken a huge step forward towards further mobile use. SAAB stated for the representatives of the present armies their full recommendation on the possibility of using SVOS vehicles for these purposes.
The present MARS 4x4 vehicles with the MSHORAD and Giraffe 1X 3D systems could be seen by all participants both during dynamic demonstrations in the closed area of the shooting range and also on the following day, when everyone had the opportunity to see in detail both the MSHORAD, RBS 70NG, and GIRAFFE 1X 3D anti-aircraft systems in detail both SVOS vehicles for the MARS 4x4 brand with these launch and missile guidance systems installed.
