„PERUN 4x4“  in the spotlight
The international defence and security technology fair IDET 2019, which was held at the Brno exposition centre from 29th till 31st of May 2019, witnessed the traditional presentation of the SVOS Company. The company stand became popular for the visitors and was attended also by the Swedish Minister of Defence Mr. Peter Hultqvist as well as other valued guests from the General Staffs of Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Norway, Latvia, Philippines, Thailand and defence experts from many other countries.

The company presented an innovated model of its light scout vehicle Perun 4X4. It became a star of the exposition with significant interest from the foreign visitors, but also from the Army of the Czech Republic personnel, which appreciated mostly its advanced technical and safety features. All visitors had a chance to test the Perun vehicle driving and main weapon firing including inter-crew coordination on tactical simulators presented at the stand by Brno-based VR Group company, a true leader in the simulation. The future of the vehicle was presented by a model of hard top 4x4 variant.

Mr. Jaroslav Černý, SVOS CEO, commented the company presence at IDET as follows: “Perun is our flagship, and therefore we are naturally very happy to have a chance to present it. The vehicle became the centre of interest of all the IDET 2019 visitors. Especially the Czech army personnel had a chance to verify our readiness to deliver to the Armed forces of the Czech Republic a high-quality combat vehicle. The interest of foreign delegations confirmed the significant export potential of Perun. We were in particular delighted by the visit of Mr. Peter Hultqvist, Defence minister of Sweden, because we are exploring ways of cooperation with Swedish defence industry.”

The SVOS company has also deepened its cooperation with tenderers interested in the delivery of new tracked infantry vehicles. The company provides them unique and highly competitive production capabilities including the processing of modern armour types, a capability no other Czech company can offer.

At the SVOS stand also own products were presented, such as ballistic glasses. Those glasses are made by SVOS not only for its own needs, but also for export and this is making SVOS one of very few companies in Europe having such capability.
